White Bride FAQ

How long before the wedding should I buy my dress?

So this is the most asked question! We recommend 12-18months BUT don’t panic if your wedding is sooner- some labels can do rush orders, some are shorter lead times and also we always have our ready to wear collection.

When are my alterations done?

So your gown arrives around 6-10 weeks before the wedding and its time to do the tweaks! All done in house, we book you in and we pin your gown so it’s perfect for you!

At this fit it is REALLY a important you maintain your size as and further alterations will cost you more and will lead to stress, we then get you back in 2-3weeks before the wedding to check everything is perfect.

What about sizes- will the shop sample fit me?

This is the most different aspect of wedding dress shopping to going to buy an outfit on the high street…

Shops like myself buy a selection of sizes from our designers which won’t fit everyone, we are a tiny shop and can’t hold stock of multiple sizes so we are AMAZING at pinning brides into our samples- a little imagination from you and we can give you your perfect gown….

What is your price range?

Our Designers go from £1700-£2800 with our SALE gowns between £400-£1500. We do stock designers who use beautiful fabrics, some are Made to Measure and all are Made to Order.

Alterations are on top of the price of the gowns, they can all be done in house, always keep some budget back for these as IF you do need a lot due to weight gain or weight loss or pregnancy this can mount up… we always give you a clear idea on this when you choose your gown.
